Manuel Avila, a naturalized United States Citizen who immigrated from Portugal in the 1970s, brings decades of expertise to the textile industry, driven by a passion to create superior products.

The journey began in the early 80s when Manuel honed his skills at Dial Fabrics in Taunton, Massachusetts, specializing in the intricate world of narrow fabrics. Fueled by a vision to craft exceptional textiles and a desire to forge his own path, Manuel founded Avila Textiles in 1995. At its inception, the company operated with a single machine, but it was the foundation for what would become a thriving enterprise.

Avila Textiles has evolved over the years, now boasting a state-of-the-art facility housing over 50 weaving looms. The expansion goes beyond narrow fabrics, encompassing the production of knit products and sewing threads. Nestled within the historic Mount Hope Finishing complex in North Dighton, Massachusetts, our factory stands as a testament to our dedication to quality and innovation.
